Full-on Summer

I heard cicada song last week. Full-on summer has arrived. One lone singer, but in just a few days, the chorus has built, a cascade of sound that epitomizes summer. Three weeks ago, I went to Rehoboth Beach with family and friends. We returned home to the derecho and power outages. But now, the world has slipped into the humid languor of untroubled summer days, allowing time for photos. Here are some shots of the beach. A line of storm Beach Stormclouds raced us down Route 1 and arrived with crackling bursts of lightning before we reached our hotel. But it cleared, and we had three beautiful blue days and pleasantly cool nights. I played with night shots at Funland as well as HDR from the balcony of our hotel.
