After a week of ridiculous summer heat again–one day so humid my camera lens never stopped fogging up–we have finally gotten our first taste of fall. A big storm blew through yesterday afternoon. Around three in the afternoon, the sky turned dark as night and the wind bent the trees low and sent torrents of rain horizontal across the air. With a powerful sweep, it cleared away the stagnant air and has left us with cool, clear breezes and sunshine. And lovely shadows on the wall. Patterns of light.
