Abandoned

Not being able to walk very far, let alone hike, leaves me time to process photographs from over the years. And then blogger Abandoned Kansai liked my rookery post. His own post about an abandoned mine reminded me of the abandoned house I have photographed each year on the way to the beach, plus another one after a hike in West Virginia.

The merging of decay and growth falling into and rising out of the ground. The ghosts of family memories spooling around broken floorboards. And the spider disdains it all.
