Spring Green

A evening under the trees, a bowl of mussels in a garlicky red sauce, and flower petals floating down into our hair. Spring has arrived late this year. The cherry blossoms were reticent. Azaleas still delay their profusion. But tonight the world swims in spring green–that barely past yellow that signals the winter has really gone and we can come out to play.
